Every time Paul and I see this commercial we crack up. This is what our humor has come to...but I think I would have laughed at this before I had Landon. "The coolest you'll look pooping your pants." Enjoy!

Relaxing Poolside
I discovered this awesome website that allows you to make your pictures look like a cartoon, old-time photo, change the colors, and so much more. After playing around with the pictures, I finally made a pretty neat slideshow! Landon will be swimming before we know it, but for now he can just enjoy playing in his shallow blow up baby pool. And so will Mommy...sunbathing out back!
Yesterday we finally took the baby pool out back, filled it up with some water and jumped in! Bohdi thought it was a giant dog water bowl and we quickly stopped that from happening. :) Landon was a little nervous in the beginning, but when he saw that it was shallow and he could splash around in it, he really enjoyed it. Daddy was on one side and Mommy was on the other (I still have no idea how all three of us fit in that little baby pool, especially when Bohdi was trying to get in the whole time). But, Landon enjoyed playing in the middle of Paul and I and we became a racetrack for his truck. Once we decided the fun was over, Landon and Daddy went inside and I stayed out back and relaxed poolside! I grabbed my book and sunbathed in the pool! It was great! I think I found my new Landon nap-time hobby! hahah Who would have thought that a $10 pool would be so much fun!!

Our Visit with Grandad, Great Grandad and Gramsie!
We had a wonderful time with Grandad, Gramsie and Great Grandad! We hung out on the beach, ate great food, went for lots of fun walks with the dogs, found a sting ray!, looked at sea turtle nests, played the guitar and danced! Landon loved giving Grandad all of his toys (to the point where Grandad could not hold anything else his hands and arms were so full). :) And he loved spending time with Gramsie, especially in the mornings reading Stellaluna. Great Grandad had a blast walking with Landon while they held hands. It was a very nice visit and we can't wait until next time!
First encounter of the visit with Gramsie and Grandad...loving it!

Playing with Great Grandad

Showing Gramsie some of his toys

Nice dinner at Pablos...a classic

Dedication & Father's Day
Last Sunday, Paul and I made a dedication to raise Landon in God's word and to learn to have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Our Church "The Journey Church" is AWESOME! We feel right at home there and have made some great friends too! It also happened to be Father's Day! We were blessed to have so many Dad's in our home that day. Paul's Dad, Grandad and my Dad were with us to celebrate this special day! We were missing our other Dad's as well...shout out to Lee (Gpa) and Ray (Grandaddy).

Ugh oh...he's already flirting

Landon fell asleep on my shoulder during the service

4 Years
Today Paul and I celebrated 4 amazing years together as Husband and Wife, 9 years together total. It has been a great ride so far and we pray to spend at least another 50 years together! This time 4 years ago we were surrounded by our family and many of our closest friends. What a great wedding it was! This was the first anniversary that Paul and I were able to celebrate with together on the "actual" day, so we decided to spend it together with our little man at a great little southern restaurant called The Beech Street Grill. Thanks to my brother Lee Lee and his beautiful expecting wife, our sister-in-law Shelby, we were able to enjoy a delicious dinner there! Landon did an excellent job at dinner and was very well behaved. Paul ordered the lamb and I ordered the red snapper. We were very pleased. The waiter even brought Landon a kid-sized scoop of vanilla ice cream towards the finish of our dinner. It was a very special treat for Landon...he has a sweet tooth just like his Daddy. What a great night!
Landon so sweet, looking at the flowers that Daddy brought home for Mommy.

Waiting for Daddy to come downstairs...

The one and only family picture we were able to take tonight...The nice man who offered to take the picture didn't quite know how to use the camera, so he was aiming really high...next to me, the piano player was laughing and says "that old guy is aiming at the ceiling, good luck with that picture". But, he got our heads at least! hahah

Looking at ants with my little man.

Heading in to the restaurant.

Landon is really into stomping his feet lately. We have been calling him "Happy Feet"...which is also a movie that he LOVES (so does Mommy).

Indoor Pools...Mess Free and Just as Fun!!
Landon and I spend so much of the day playing inside, why not play outside now too! So, we got him a baby pool. But, before I could get it outside and fill it with water, Landon started puting his toys in it and started playing. It's like his own personal fort. I am spending time with Landon on learning some sign language and we do flash cards during the day. His favorite flash card is the one with Big Bird on it. Landon loves to read books, or rather just look at the pictures and it's one of his most favorite things to do. So, right now his pool is filled with his little collection of flash cards, his dinosaur book, and his blankie who we call "Puppy". Eventually, we will move the baby pool outside and put some water in it, but for now it can stay inside. :)

Little Talbot Island
Beautiful Little Talbot Island

We had a blast going to Little Talbot Island this weekend! For being local for almost 3 years, we finally ventured there. We have heard wonderful things about this island. They say you can't leave without finding multiple sand dollars and sharks teeth. Well, we did find multiple sand dollars pieces, but no whole ones. We found 1 sharks tooth. Paul and I both decided our beach is better for finding sharks teeth. We have a nice collection on our kitchen windowsill from finding them at beach access 27 :). Little Talbot Island was so much fun and we definitely plan to go back! Next time, we plan on hiking!
He LOVES airplanes! He is pointing at one in the sky. He can be inside of the house and hear an airplane and he points. So cute..

Going for a walk...Mom, Dad you need to put some sunblock on!

I thought this would be a cute pic..and it is!

Terp on the loose!

Trying to feed the seagull an orange.

This is seriously a beautiful beach...nothing but a few people, us and nature.

Mr. Independant
At this very moment, Paul, Landon, Beyah, Bohdi & I are huddled in the dining room watching this crazy storm that seems to be right over our house. The lightning bolts are striking all around us and the thunder seems to be vibrating off of our walls. I am not too fond of thunderstorms as they remind me of all of the scary movies I have seen in my life (I used to be a scary movie trooper, but now refuse to watch them). As the thunderstorm started to get worse, I crept my way over to Paul (for "protection") with Landon and we were sitting next to each other looking outside. Paul says to me, "Brooke, you need to get used to this because if there is a thunderstorm while I am deployed, you have to take care of Landon". Yea yea, I know...I need to get over it. But, for the sake of Landon, I will do my best.
Ok, on to the blog that I actually wanted to post! A few months ago, Landon started to grab the spoon out of our hands when we were feeding him. He really just wanted to fling food everywhere, but we let him explore a little. Well lately, he has taken to deciding when and where he will eat. In our kitchen, we have little storage and the one cabinet that holds our "snack foods/cereals, etc" is at Landon's level. Well, here are a few moments we have captured Landon sneaking in his own snack on "different" occasions.
"Ugh oh...Daddy found me..bummer!"

What's a couple gold fish here and there?

Digging in...he did not know he was caught red handed...yet!

AhhHaa! I caught you! What a shocked expression on his face haha. He is just a hungry fellow I guess.

Trying to make a run for it!

Helping himself to a bag of cereal...again caught red handed

He's getting so used to being caught that it doesn't really phase him anymore haha..."Oh hey Mom, this is some good stuff!"

What was one is now two...Bohdi decided to join him in his little food adventure

"Bohdi, let me help you with that...here, have this piece, it's really good. I know from experience."

Aww Mom, can't I just have a few more handfuls...pretty please?
