Spooktacular at the Zoo

Last night Paul, Tricia, Landon and I went to the Zoo for a Spooktacular event! A few of our friends joined us as well. We saw giraffes, cheetas and jaguars. We also saw hundreds of carved pumpkins, some spooky characters and a lot of fun decorations. We were going to get our faces painted haha, but the line was too long...bummer! :) There were candy stations along the trail and Landon got to go trick or treating for the first time. He held on to his pumpkin the entire night and we got to snack on some yummy treats. Happy Halloween!

On our way in to the Zoo!

There were hundreds of carved pumpkins lining the Spooktacular trail we walked down. It was really neat to see.

Looking at the halloween decorations. Landon had been sucking on an orange lollipop the entire time we were there. He did pretty well...only a little bit of orange around his mouth. :)

Behind us was a jaguar exhibit. The cat was beautiful. From the left: Allison, Travis, me, Tricia, Landon, and Paul.

Aunt Tricia and Landon going for a stroll down the Spooktacular path.

They opened up a few of the animal exhibits and we got to get really close to the giraffes!

Last family pic before we left the Zoo.

Welcome Home Paul!

Paul is home from his LAST deployment! We are so happy to have him home for good and so excited to start the next chapter of our lives. Landon was so sweet with Paul when he first saw him and ever since Daddy's been home, Landon has been glued to his hip. He follows Daddy around the house and likes to crawl all over him. It's really fun to watch and made me so happy to see him remember his Daddy.

Our family is back together again!

Arts & Crafts

This past week has been so much fun! Landon and I have gotten to spend some great quality time with Aunt Tricia! Paul comes home tomorrow, so we decided to spend the day getting ready for his homecoming! We made rice crispie treats and shaped them with a Halloween theme. They taste better than they look haha, but we did our best! Then we went outside and made Paul a welcome home sign. We painted Landon's feet and hands and let him go to town! It was a great day and tomorrow is going to be the BEST day!

Getting ready to make rice crispies in the shapes of cats, witches hats, pumpkins, ghosts, witches brooms, half moons, and a scary face with a pumpkin candy corn for a nose.

While we were cleaning up, Landon decided to eat all of the candy corns that we used to decorate the shapes. He had devoured them all within maybe 2 minutes and when we found him he had a mouthful. Little stinker! :) Later in the evening, my child was running around on a major sugar high.

We made them in the living room so we could watch Happy Feet. Landon and I love to dance to the music in that movie!

He was helping us make sure the letters were just right...getting right in the middle of the action. :)

Getting ready to walk on the banner!

Beyah wanted to be a part of the action...the pups are going to go nuts when they see Paul!

Last One Good One! Our LAST deployment ever!!! wooohoooo!

WELCOME HOME PAUL! WE HAVE MISSED YOU SO MUCH AND WE ARE SO HAPPY YOU ARE HOME SAFE! I AM SO EXCITED TO START OUR NEW CHAPTER IN LIFE! I LOVE YOU!

Fall Beach Day

Today was a nice day to go to the beach. Landon loves the beach and to show his excitement, he giggles and sucks in a lot of air in an over dramatic way when we get to the end of the dunes and he see's the ocean. We had fun playing in the tide pools and finding sea shells. Landon especially likes pointing out the little holes in the sand where the sand crabs live. Daddy comes home in less than a week and we cannot wait! Paul is going to be so happy to be back on the beach!

Getting ready to go to the beach. I had just put a ton of sunblock on him and he was as white as a marshmallow! And for the first time, he didn't swat me away while I was applying it!

Heading to the beach!

Belly profile pic at 22 weeks. Yes I know, the belly is quite big for 22 weeks...Elle is taking over! :)

Playing in the tide pools. He loves to splash the water! During bath time we are learning how to 'keep the water in the tub' haha, so he had a blast splashing as much as he wanted out there today!

Running around and having fun! His shorts kept falling down haha. But, it didn't stop him!

Playing with one of his trucks. He loves trucks!

Drinking some of his smoothie from Gma. Landon is kind of in a funk when it comes to eating veggies, so we decided to put them in a yummy smoothie and he LOVES them! Sneaky!

Using his bucket to collect sea shells.

Marveling over a sea shell he found. He is growing up so fast. My baby is no longer a baby, but a little boy. He'll always be our baby though. :)

Final Note: While I was putting together this blog post, I sneezed and Landon said "Bless You". It was amazing! He's one smart cookie!

What a Wedding!

My Uncle Curt and his fiance Sue, got married last weekend. It was an amazing weekend full of wedding fun and it was so great to see all of our family! It's been 4 years since our entire family has been together (the last time we were all together was at our wedding)! What a great way to come together and celebrate! Before the ceremony began, my Uncle spoke about and introduced the man who saved his life the day he had his heart attack in the parking lot of Johns Hopkins Hospital. It was such an amazing moment and we felt very honored to be a part of this intimate and heartwarming moment. Needless to say, the ceremony began and ended with a lot of happy tears! The food was delicious...lobster, shrimp, mussels and clams, crabs, crab cakes and so much more. We were feasting! Their reception was at their house on the beautiful Severn River. It made for some great pictures! We wish Uncle Curt and Sue all the best and congratulations!

Introducing Mr. and Mrs. Curt Fisher!

The beautiful bride, Sue

Leaving the Church after a beautiful and heartwarming service

Landon got to eat a little snack while we were waiting to head to the reception

Sitting with Aunt Stephanie in the Church

These are my Mom's dearest friends and it was great to be able to spend the evening watching her have a blast with all of them! My Sister-in-Law Shelby and I were just kind of sitting in for the picture! :)

Mom, Shelby and I posing for a pic on the Severn River

Uncle Ryan and Landon. My brother and Landon had fun dancing together!

This is my youngest cousin Elizabeth holding on to Landon. She was a great little baby sitter for both the rehearsal dinner and the wedding! It reminded me of myself when I was her age chasing around her 3 older sisters. :)

Getting our groove on with my Grandpa and all of our family! Landon knows how to boogy!

Like Mother, Like Daughter

Attempting to do the twist haha!

We had a blast!

We tried to hunt the entire family down for a big family picture!

I love this picture! It is my Uncle John and his family; Aunt Malinda and their four beautiful daughters, Emma, Kathryn, Katelyn, and Elizabeth.

My little man and I were having fun!

Uncle Curt and Sue wanted to dedicate part of their wedding day to my cousin Emma. We were also celebrating her 16th birthday! I can't believe how old she is...I used to pretend to be her 'little mommy'. She has become such a beautiful young woman.

It wouldn't be the same if Uncle Curt didn't do something crazy and out of the norm on his wedding day! There was a 15-20 minute AMAZING and legit fireworks show!

Landon and His New Buddy Payton

This is Payton. She is Tricia and Geoff's new black lab puppy and so beautiful! She's going to be a beauty!

Landon having fun with Payton...a little too much fun. :) But, Payton was nice enough to let Landon pull on her ears and lips.

Giving major kisses. Payton is a trooper!

Hanging out with Aunt Trish...just chillin'.

Landon and I were so excited to celebrate Nana's birthday! Landon got to help blow out the candles...that kept re-lighting themselves haha, Trick Candles!

Nana and Landon enjoying the changing weather in Maryland

Grandad and Gramsey came over for a visit! Payton was loving all of the attention! She is so cute!

Aunt Tricia and Payton are coming for a visit this month and we can't wait! Bohdi and Beyah are going to have a new friend to play with and we are all going to have a blast! Woohoo!
