January Beach Day

Mom and I took the kiddos out to the beach one afternoon! It was a gorgeous warm breezy day and I am really going to miss these moments when it's our time to move on from this beautiful hidden treasure, Amelia Island.

What a beautiful day in January!
Precious.
Teaching his sister how to make a sand castle. This was a rare moment...these days when we go to the beach, Landon wants to do nothing but run. So, the fact he was sitting and playing in the sand was awesome! That meant I could actually 'relax' a bit. :) But, it's a great place to run around! Nature's playground!
Little button nose. :)
Reaching for Momma.
They are beginning to play so nicely together. Landon loves to make Elle laugh.
Handsome.
She decided to see what the sand tasted like...I proceeded to try to stop her haha!
But, she kept going back for more.
I'm so in love with her.
GG taking some pics of me and the kiddos...
Ooohhhh 'baby' seashells!
At one point, Landon took off down the beach and got a good head start...he was about a half mile down before I finally caught up to him! He said he was chasing the birds. :) The other people on the beach thought it was funny and laughed while I was chasing my son and lagging a few hundred yards behind!
Kissy time...my favorite.

I handed baby girl to GG and she wanted to continue her kisses! So she smacked one right on GG's cheek!
It's always fun to watch my momma with my baby girl. She always says Elle reminds her of me when I was little. These are special times we get to share together.
My FAVORITE expression Elle does...her squished up nose smile haha! She was excited about walking in the wet sand. :)

Best Kids Ever!

I know I am biased, but Paul and I have the best kids ever! I love to watch them play together and have fun. Landon is pretty tough on his sister (the typical toddler play), but Elle has learned how to 'fight' back haha. The best part of my day is when Landon comes in and says good morning and then says, "Mommy, I'm going to wake Elle up". He goes into her room, crawls in her crib and they just play, laugh and giggle for about 30 mins (or if I need to go in sooner to break up a little trampling from the big bro). Elle lets me know if her brother is being a bit too rough with her little shrill. :) Plus, I get to watch them from our video monitor placed in her room (which Landon calls 'The Monster' and growls at it because I can move the camera to get the kids in view). I have gotten this on video a few times and I know these will be priceless for us as they grow. The photos below are just a few snapshots I took of them playing together fascinated by the glass door. Enjoy!

Looking at the ocean. And yes, more pictures of my kids not wearing any pants with their pj tops on. Potty boot camp begins mid-Feb after we travel to MD for Aunt Pat and Uncle Geoff's wedding!!
So thankful for these 2.
Elle was hitting the door and Landon thought it would be fun to chime in. Look at those chunky thighs!! She is a great eater...just like her Mama! :)
My baby blues. And Elle's hair is getting so long. I refuse to cut it...want it to be long and luscious. :)
More playing.
Love this silly little guy.
These are great moments! Glad to have caught them on camera!

Family Day Out

One of our favorite things to do as a family is go to the zoo! Landon loves seeing all of the animals and Elle is noticing them as well! Landon is growing up so fast...he practically walked this entire visit! It was really sweet because if he could see an animal from afar, he would start running and say "Come on Daddy/Mommy, look at the _____!" It was really sweet. We had a great family day. And looking forward to our visit to the Atlanta aquarium (Landon is going to LOVE that).

The jaguar was laying right next to the fence and Landon really enjoyed looking at his black fur....big kitty.
We headed to the gorilla's and had to pose with this cool guy. :) Funny story behind this: when Landon was learning how to talk we had this book that was 1000 words with pictures. On the animal page there was a picture of a gorilla. Paul thought it was funny to teach Landon to associate the word gorilla with Momma haha. So, for the longest time when we pointed to that picture Landon would say Momma. Oh Paul...you are one funny guy! Thankfully Landon does not remember this and I am now just Mommy.
Momma and babe.
Little man with his Daddy (can't take his eyes off of the animals).
Ooohhh the big black bear!
Crocodiles!
Our beautiful babe. This was her first time wearing pig tails and I love it! :)
Landon was very focused on the animals, but Elle was all about posing for the camera!
Love those blue eyes.
Checking out an animal! She was so engaged!
Apparently, this is the new way to ride in a stroller. (Landon was giving me that lovely face because I was asking him to sit down and he was making it very clear that this was the 'cool' way to ride in the stroller...oh boy.)
GREAT family day!
