A New Baby

During our visit to Maryland, my Uncle Curt and his beautiful wife Sue had their first baby together.  Elijah James Fisher was born on October 1st which is also my Grandma's birthday.  The proud big brother Blaise is also excited to be welcoming his new baby brother.  I visited Sue in the hospital and then a few days later, we all came over to their house to welcome them home.  And I also got some very special pictures of my Grandma playing with Landon and Elle.  Enjoy!

It's also so special when my kiddos can spend time with my Grandma.  And especially now because Landon can sing the whole song "You Are My Sunshine" and Grandma used to sing that to me when I was a little girl.  So, that was special for her to hear him sing it.

Another great visit at Grandad and Gramsey's house!  Landon and their dog Jackson got along very well and we all had a really nice time together.

A Long Overdue Playdate

Finally!! Annie and I were able to get together so that our two boys could meet!  Annie is one of my closest friends from college and I was so happy to finally be able to meet up with her.  Every time we have visited Maryland, we have tried and tried to get together, but something has always postponed our visit.  But, this time we made it happen! 

Connor and Landon are just about 6 months apart.  They played really well together!

An Award for Daddy

One afternoon we decided to take a nice relaxing walk on the Academy with Nana.  It was a beautiful, crisp day and the leaves on the trees were just about to turn.  We visited the newly renovated USNA Museum and just before we were getting into the car, Paul says "Do you guys mind if I go and check that building really quick while you are loading the kids in the car?"  We of course asked why he wanted to do that and he said he thinks he might have received an award that is posted in the building.  Anne and I were shocked that he was so nonchalant about it and told him we were coming with him to look for the award.  Just like he thought, we found the award called 'The Admiral Dewey Award'.  It is for the midshipman who excels at weapons training and only one midshipman per year is awarded this honor.  Anne and I were really proud of Paul and it was a great way to end our nice walk downtown Annapolis.

This was neat.  Landon was really intrigued by the models of ships, planes and submarines.  We showed him which one his Daddy went out on for several months.  He was really fascinated.

Ulmstead Beach

Paul grew up in a community called Ulmstead in Arnold, MD.  Ulmstead Beach is a beautiful area in Ulmstead that is surrounded by the Magothy River with a really fun playground!  It holds a lot of memories for Paul and I.  From Paul playing their as a child with his brother, sister and friends, to Paul and I taking our Senior Prom pictures there.  It is a place we both have spent a lot of time at.  So, it's always nice to get the kids there and enjoy the playground and of course the most magnificent views of the river.
