Jack and Jill Preschool

Landon had his 1st day of preschool today!  Our big boy is growing up so fast.  He is in the 2 year old classroom and he has 9 other classmates.  They are all very nice and Landon is going to make some really good buddies!  We are so excited because we have been working on helping Landon learn his colors, numbers, shapes and ABC's, and the curriculum for his class is awesome!  They learn all of that plus so much more...days of the week, weather, etc.  And, on top of all of that he will see his peers going to the potty room throughout the day and hopefully it will encourage him to start using the big potty! As Landon has said to us recently, "Mommy, I like pooping in my diaper." NOT what I wanted to hear when I asked him when he wanted to start using the big boy potty haha. But, he will get there eventually (I just have to keep telling myself that). So, overall this is going to be a great experience for Landon and we are so excited for him!

This is what Landon's school day will look like!

9-9:20am  Arrival/Play Time
9:20-9:40am  Bible Story Circle Time...Learn about Jesus!
9:40-10am  Playground Fun
10-10:30am  All students attempt to use the big potty with one of the teachers helping...yay!
10:30-10:45am  Story Time
10:45-11:05am  Learning Time (shapes, colors, weather, days of week, and more!)
11:05-11:20am  Another potty break/attempt!  :)
11:20-11:40am  Gym Time
11:40-12pm  Clean Up and Dismissal

Landon is really going to have so much fun!  He will learn and get to have fun at school!  Sounds pretty great huh!?  We stayed after class to take a few pictures.  Enjoy!

Is he raising his hand already?  Haha probably not, but that would be pretty neat if he was!

Each week every student will have certain responsibilities.  We are really excited for this because Landon loves to help Mommy with things around the house and I think he will enjoy helping the teachers.

He really likes all of the toys in his classroom.

Each student has a hook to put their backpacks on and their name is on a frog label...super cute.  Landon's is right in the center.  He brought his Buzz Lightyear backpack today.

Elle and I went to orientation while Landon was in his classroom. She was making some really cute and goofy faces!  She has learned that when she makes a funny face, we laugh.  It's a fun game.  :)

Here is a close up of Landon's backpack hook and cute little bag his school gave him.

Well I'd say he's right at home here.  He loves all of the new toys to play with and I know he will love his 2 new teachers and classmates.  I can't wait for all of the conversations we will have about what he learned that day on our way home in the car.

I never want to forget this moment.  I wonder if I will look back at the picture one day and think "how old was he in this picture?".  He looks so much older to me every day and our baby boy is growing up so fast.

Landon David is 29 months old in this picture (almost 2 and a half!) and he went to his first day of school. We are so proud!

Part I: Uncle Ryan and GG in Town

GG and Uncle Ryan came in town for a visit! This was the first time that Ryan met his God Daughter and wow was it special. Ryan has been waiting for this moment for so long and time has come & gone, but looking back it was a really amazing week. Enjoy the photos!

Once they met, they never parted. :)

Smooches!
Bonding in action...
and more...
haha, and more!
Poppy came over to hang out and got to spend time with the kiddos too!
That evening, Ryan offered to help out with bath time! He did a great job for his first time bathing an infant.
Then he read to Landon before bed and we all came up to listen. :)
Daddy and Elle...they look so alike. I love them.
What's so funny?
The next morning, Elle and Beyah were cuddling with GG. GG wasn't a big fan of having Beyah in bed with her, but Beyah insisted haha...and GG gave in. :)
Landon lined his trucks up next to Bohdi in the kitchen and sat together while we made breakfast.
Sweet baby girl...she loves that bouncy seat!
Ryan wanted to watch The Lion King with Landon...he's singing Hakuna Matata in this pic...too funny.
Ok, so here is the deal with the next group of photos...I just started snapping pics of the 3 of them and they are super cute & very funny.
hahahahahah Landon's face in this one is hilarious! It's like he's saying, come on Uncle Ryan...I wanna play!
Then Elle starts laughing...
And Landon gets pulled back in and Elle pokes him in the eye hahah...
And done. Phew, what a moment!
Landon was ready to wrestle!
Uncle Ryan hopped in the baby pool with Landon and actually really enjoyed himself! And I love this pic because of both of their expressions...it's like, whoah cooooool man, look how high that water can shoot up in the sky! haha Typical boys!
More fun in the sun.
We made snowballs and it was a nice cool treat in the blazing heat.
He's all grown up...my little bro.
And my little man...time slow down! We don't want him to grow up just yet!
What a happy baby girl!
Breakfast time...Landon was giving us his goofy smile. He likes to make funny faces these days. :)
Take a look at Part II!

Part II: Uncle Ryan and GG in Town

Uncle Ryan loving on his sweet God Daughter. They really hit it off.
We headed to the zoo on the weekend and it was a blast, as always! When I became pregnant with Landon, Ryan started talking about taking him to the zoo. Unfortunately, there weren't any opportunities to do that before now and we finally were able to make it happen!
GG and Elle were having some smiley time. It was a hot day at the zoo!
The boys got together for a quick pose...but, Landon couldn't take his eyes off of the animals!
What a beautiful animal! Landon calls him 'Simba'.
Elle loved looking at the giraffes.
Ryan was super excited to feed them with Landon!
Ryan kept telling Paul to record on the video camera the giraffes' tongue! It was really long and kind of yucky haha.
Landon was holding on tight to Uncle Ryan.
A quiet moment to cool off in the shade and hang out in the water spritzers.
It's nice when both Ryan and I are together with Mom. Ryan is working hard up in Philidelphia and has gone back to school! He is doing really well and we are all so proud of him. And with us being down here in Florida, the opportunities to get together are very slim. So, we cherish every moment. (hmmm, I wonder what Mom and Elle are looking at)
Oh boy, this guy was awesome! Or should I say girl...we think. Like I said earlier, it was so hot and the animals were all staying cool by relaxing and this gorilla was doing a pretty darn good job!
Landon was fascinated by this gorilla. It has become one of his new favorite animals, so he was really in awe when he got up and close with her!
These "bonobo's" or chimps as we called them were really neat to watch. We visit the zoo every few months and the last time we visited there were 3 females and 1 male. Well, this time each female had a baby clinging to them. So, the male chimp must have been pretty busy lately. :) But on a different note, it was really special to see the bond between Mother and Baby...very sweet and so instinctive.
Speaking of Mother and Baby...I love her so much.
And, this is how we ended our trip to the zoo.
Ryan really enjoyed participating in taking care of the kiddos. He even changed a few diapers...and they weren't the "easy" kind hahah!
Loved this one of Paul surfing.
This was Ryan's second time surfing and he did really well. Paul was pretty pumped for him to get up so quickly!
It's like he's been doing it for years.
Awesome shot.
I think Ryan has found a new hobby...when he's near an ocean. :)
Mom, the kids and I were hanging out in the front yard. Landon was playing in his baby pool and when he saw Daddy and Uncle Ryan walk up he ran and greeted them at the end of the driveway. He looks so cute in his little swimmie diaper haha.
It really was a very special visit for us all and we look forward to getting together again soon! And we're so happy Ryan finally got to meet his God Daughter Elle.
