Mommy's Day Off

With Elle's arrival approaching us quickly, Paul wanted to give me a "Mommy's Day Off"! It was so nice of him to offer and at first I was hesitant, but realized that life is going to pick up pace pretty quickly when Elle is born and it would be nice to have a day to have no responsibilities! So, Paul took Landon to the zoo and they had a great day together! I really wanted to go with them, but I also knew that I needed a day to myself. However, just 10 minutes after Paul and Landon left, I called them and asked how their Daddy and Landon day was going haha. A few hours later I called again and they were at the leopard exhibit. Landon was growling when Paul answered the phone. It was really cute. Paul said they were having a blast and that Landon loved each and every exhibit! They had just finished visiting the penguin exhibit and Paul said that Landon wouldn't stop saying "Mumble!". That is his favorite character from one of his favorite movies "Happy Feet". It sounded like they were having a lot of fun and I was so glad. I was really enjoying myself also. I spent the majority of the day sitting by the pool! It was about 70 degrees and beautiful. It was nice to just relax and read a book. As much as I was enjoying myself, when Paul and Landon came to the pool to say hi after their day at the zoo I was so happy to see them! It was great to have a nice and quiet day, but I wouldn't trade in spending time with them for the whole world! Here are some pictures from Paul and Landon's day at the zoo! Enjoy!

On their way out to the zoo...I wanted to take a picture before they left!
Paul said Landon wanted to push the stroller...he's practicing for his sister to come!
Checking out the penguins!
Landon loved the petting zoo!
Paul tried to get a pic of the two of them, but Landon seems to be fascinated by the pink flamingos!
Where there are fish, there is our son...he loves fish!
Growling at the leopards!

Paul said he was so excited because they were about to go in to the Africa exhibit and then all of the sudden Landon just passed out. haha So, only Paul got to see the elephants, rhinos, gorillas and so much more. But, we will be making a trip back to the zoo and starting with that exhibit after Elle is born! When they got back from the zoo we went on a nice family walk. Landon has such a good Daddy. So do Beyah and Bohdi :)

MLK Weekend

This weekend, Nana and Grandaddy came in to town! It's been a great visit and we have all had a lot of fun. Landon is having a blast and loves to be chased by Grandaddy. We've been getting some great quality time together. While Landon was napping, we got into a pretty heated game of Spades and unfortunately, Anne and Ray took Paul and I down big time. I'm not sure if we will ever live it down...REMATCH coming soon! :) Today we went to The Bounce House (which is a building with a bunch of blow up slides, etc) and Landon was hanging in there with the big kids! Paul and Landon had fun jumping around together. It was pretty funny...a little girl was trying to climb into the one that Paul and Landon were in and Landon turned around and growled at her. She climbed out and left. haha It was hilarious! We were laughing so hard...I guess Landon wanted Daddy all to himself.

Baby to a Boy

As we are pulling out Landon's old baby gear, getting ready for Elle I am overwhelmed with so many emotions...you can blame it on being 8 months pregnant I guess. :) Landon was excited to see a few of his old things, such as his bouncy chair. He crawled in it and just laid back and relaxed. Then he crawled out of it, ran and got a book and jumped back in the bouncy chair. He then proceeded to lounge, relax and read a book. I of course grabbed my camera and snapped a few pics. It inspired me to make this blog post. These pictures all bring back wonderful memories and we are so looking forward to making more memories with Elle and watching Landon be an incredible big brother. He will always be my baby though.

Pregnancy # 1- Landon David

Just a few days old, snuggled warm in a cuddly blanket

Little Terps Man!
Sitting in his bouncy chair...just a few months old
I miss this gummy smile!

Wow, I can hardly remember when he barely took up any space in his crib...now he's in a full size bed and loving it!

And now, almost 2 years later...

Blowing his own nose for the very first time! He was very proud of himself!

I wasn't feeling well and decided to take a nap on the other couch, so Landon decided he wanted to take a nap too. All snuggled up on his own couch. :)
Here is his old bouncy chair. See how much bigger he is in it!
We were laughing pretty hard! (It almost tipped backwards and Landon's face was priceless!) I think he exceeds the weight limit. :)
Now our baby boy is about to become a big brother. I love our family.

I am looking forward to having another little munchkin in the Magnuson household and so excited for the new memories to come! Landon is going to be a wonderful big brother!

Pregnancy # 2- Kathryn Elle
This is Elle's very first picture! We are very excited for her arrival!

Landon David and Caleb Daniel

Our good friends Laura and Phil came in to town with their beautiful baby boy Caleb and their two sweet dogs, Minnie and Naya. Laura and Phil used to live here in FL, but moved to Charleston a few months ago. We miss them so much, but are thankful that they are so close for visits! Landon and Caleb had a great time playing with each other and learning how to share toys. Caleb has the sweetest smile and it's really great to see Laura and Phil as parents. We are so thankful for our friends and we can't wait to make a visit up to Charleston after Elle is born!

Note: A lot of these pics were taken after their bath, so there are a lot of diaper pics!

The boys climbing the stairs together. Caleb is 5 months younger than Landon, but he is really advanced for his age!
I tried so hard all weekend to get a picture of the 4 pups together, but this is the only one with all four (waiting to see if Landon drops anything)! It was a full house, but they all got along great! It's amazing how alike Minnie and Beyah are and how alike Bohdi and Naya are. They are all good buddies.

Landon loves bath time! When it's time to take a bath, we ask him if he is excited to play with the bubbles and he screams "bubbbblle" and runs for the stairs.

After the boys took a bath, we practiced sharing this truck back and forth. They each were not excited about it at all, but eventually caught on to the concept. This is the cutest picture because Caleb was clapping (we were all clapping after they shared) and crying at the same time, but crying with a smile. It was such a priceless moment! He was happy because we were all excited and clapping, but he wanted the truck back. haha

Such a handsome little man!
