Sweet Sleeps

For the past few months, I have talked to Paul about creating a blog about Landon and his sleeping arrangements. Every night before we go to bed, we sneak into each of the kids' rooms and kiss them goodnight one last time. Well, lately it has been very entertaining to go in and give Landon his final goodnight kiss.

This is one of his toy holders. And that is a sign that was on a shelf on his wall that he loves because it has dinosaurs on it.
Sleeping soundly with his new favorite book. For each page, it makes the sound of a particular animal and he LOVES it.
These pictures hang on his wall next to his bed. I painted them for him when we decided we would decorate Landon's room with "all of his favorite things". His room has Nemo, Dinosaurs, Fishies, Mickey Mouse, beach/surfing collages, and a signed poster of Cal Ripken (because who wouldn't want that in their room!). :)
The next night he did the same thing...this time he must have been admiring them and then decided to use them as a blanket.
This is a pretty normal night...snuggled up with his puppy and all of his stuffed animals.
Had to get a close up of this pick...Go Bruins! :)
Another semi-normal night, except he HAD to sleep with his sleeping bag with the fishies all over it!
We recently pulled this toy out from storage for Elle. It was Landon's when he was little and he insists that it is still his and he must have it in his room. :)
Another view of him snuggling with the toy that is now Elle's.
Another night he decided to pull up some books to read before he fell asleep. And that green guy is Scout. Landon stays up at night talking to Scout. When you push his feet, Scout asks questions and we listen to Landon answer him. Landon will say, "Red!", "Ye-ww-ow!", "Blue!". It's really sweet and brings a smile to my face every time. And it's a happy-sad moment for me because he is getting so smart and so big, and yet it makes me sad because he is growing up so fast.
This one is my favorite. He must have been having a good time because he is conked out! We are happy he loves to read so much.
Once we have cleared his bed with all of his books, toys, and what-nots, we give him one last kiss for the evening, tuck him in and sneak out. One of our favorite times of the day.
We can't wait to see what Elle does when she is 2!

Weekend O' Fun

Gabe and Jess came in to town and we had a great visit with them! We made some great memories together and got to do a lot of fun things together!

We went out to dinner one night and headed to the Ritz cafe. It's a very nice little restaurant and a great place for Landon to run around and play with other kids. He had a lot of fun and got pretty sweaty haha. It was SO hot out! But, that didn't stop him from playing!
Landon was attempting to give Elle a kiss...they really love each other.
Paul and Gabe hanging out with the little babe.
He is just getting so big! Every day he looks older and older to me.
Elle has started to teeth. She loves chewing on her hands and is a drool bug. :O)
She is such a love bug.
Elle was smiling at Uncle Gabe. She had a big crush on him!
This is a great picture!
Landon and I were picking out our favorite flowers in the garden. He was great at telling me each color.
Dinner was delicious!
Happy Baby.
Such a handsome little man.
He loves the camera. :)
Landon was trying to get a bite of Uncle Gabe's snowball and dove face first into the sand! Haha that is dedication!
He oves snowballs!!...just like me! mmmm
We went to the pool one day and Landon loved the slide! We couldn't get him off of it!
We also made giant smores! These were the biggest marshmallows I have EVER seen! Yum!
So sweet.
Two lovebirds. :)

Vero Beach

Last weekend, we hopped in the car and drove down to Vero Beach to visit Grandpa and Wendy! We had a great time and it was a nice little vacation. We spent a lot of time at Grandpa's club and the pool. It really is such a beautiful place. It is so special for Landon and Elle to spend time with their Great Grandpa and watching my Grandpa interact with the kids is really special for me as well.

Wendy and Grandpa relaxing under the umbrella with Elle at the pool.
Elle was holding her own bottle! She is moving right along developmentally!
This is Grandpa's pool at the Quail Valley Club. It looks like a post card!
Elle took a nice pool-side nap.
Paul chatting with Grandpa and Wendy while Landon played in the baby pool.
This was Elle's first time in a floatie in the pool! She wasn't too excited at first, but quickly got used to it!
Then she took another nap. :)
Landon found some friends and enjoyed playing with them.
The fish in the picture has a funny story behind it. Grandpa and Wendy got this for Landon and it can swim on it's own in the pool. However, Landon insisted that it swim out of the water and if it ever got in the pool (Grandpa liked to throw it in when Landon wasn't looking), Landon would gasp and go in after it...and put it on the side of the pool while it still flapped its fins trying to swim.
He spent hours in that pool!
Elle really had a good time too! Grandpa loved tickling her feet.
Lunch time!
Still in the pool...he had a blast! I was holding both of the kiddos and we had a nice hug. :)
Landon liked to snuggle with his Great Grandpa. It was very sweet.
We spent an evening at the Club for cocktail hour. Landon ran about 3 miles all over the building in about 2 hours. This was me attempting to get some quiet time, but he insisted on getting down and running some more.
He made friends with the bartender and kept walking behind the bar (she was nice enough to give Landon a few cherries). After about 3, we put a stop to that...sugar high! haha
Paul and Grandpa chatting with a few of Grandpa's pals. This is Sue B. She is a good friend of Grandpa and Wendy and is such a sweet person. She insisted on putting Paul's cover on and really had a good time wearing it. haha That meant she had to give Paul a kiss on the cheek!

Grandpa's amazing car! He knows how to ride around town in style!

We look forward to our next visit!
